Youth-related public policies have been at the center of the annual session of the House of Councilors, dedicated to the discussion of public policies for the current year, the second chamber of parliament said on Monday.
The Bureau of the Chamber of Advisors decided to form the provisional thematic group which will be responsible for preparing a report on this subject and which will be composed of 15 members representing all parliamentary groups and groupings, in accordance with article 312 of the House rules, the House said in a statement released after a meeting chaired by Naama Mayara, president of the House of Councilors.
In terms of oral questions, the board approved the agenda for the oral questions session, scheduled for Tuesday, December 14 at 3:00 p.m. and which will be devoted to the examination of two central questions addressed to the Ministry of National Education, preschool and sports and the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation.
With regard to outreach activities and as part of the interaction with the conclusions and recommendations that sanctioned the celebrations of the International Day against Violence against Women, the chamber office decided to compile these conclusions and recommendations in a booklet which will be distributed to members of the chamber of advisers and to all stakeholders concerned, the statement added.
Within the framework of the institutional twinning with the Council of Europe, the bureau of the chamber approved the programs of the round table, which will be organized on 14 December 2021 for the benefit of the executives of the two Chambers of Parliament, on the theme of ” the opening of Parliament to citizens: why and how? », And the expert mission on the pillars of parliamentary diplomacy, which will take place on December 16, 2021 for the benefit of the executives of the Chamber of Councilors. Meanwhile, the House Bureau reviewed the intensive program of the Justice, Legislation and Human Rights Commission for this week, which is studying two bills relating to judicial organization and arbitration, respectively. and conventional mediation, according to the same source.
The president of the chamber and the members of the bureau then underlined the importance of the seminar held on Monday, December 13, 2021 by the Chamber of Advisors and the Economic, Social and Environmental Council to present and discuss the conclusions of two reports drawn up by the EESC, entitled “An integrated approach to limit the weight of the informal economy in Morocco” and “the economic and social integration of street vendors”.
In this sense, they praised the exemplary partnership between the Chamber of Councilors as a legislative institution, which controls government action, assesses public policies and works, alongside the Chamber of Representatives, to preserve the balance. public finances, and the EESC in its capacity as a Council which exercises advisory functions and formulates opinions on the general orientations of the national economy, sustainable development as well as on issues related to advanced regionalization, makes proposals and carries out studies in various fields falling within its competence.
In the same context, they welcomed this kind of seminars dedicated to the discussion of the opinions and studies of the EESC, in order to use them in the control of government action and the evaluation of public policies.
