The Casablanca Stock Exchange starts down

The Casablanca Stock Exchange began trading Thursday in the red, its main index, Masi, losing 0.25% to 13,164.84 points.

The MSI20, which reflects the price performance of the 20 most liquid companies, yielded 0.22% to 1,079.21 points and the Madex, a compact index made up of stocks quoted on a continuous basis, dropped 0.26% to 10,705.41 points.

For its part, the benchmark Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) “Casablanca ESG 10” fell by 0.37% to 988.36 points.

On the value side, Société des Boissons du Maroc (-3.96%) showed the strongest decline in the morning, followed by SMI (-3.83) and Risma (-3.57%).

On the upside, Aluminum du Maroc gained 2.71%, ahead of Alliances (+ 2.49%) and AtlantaSanad (+ 1.97%).

In terms of the most active stocks, Bank Of Africa drained 10 million dirhams (MDH), Snep 6.33 MDH and Douja Prom Addoha 3.57 MDH.
