The Casablanca Stock Exchange ended its trading on Tuesday, close to equilibrium, its main index, the Masi, gaining 0.04% to 11,538.06 points. The Morocco Stock Index 20 (MSI20) stabilized at 940.39 points, while the Madex, a compact index made up of stocks quoted on a continuous basis also appreciated by 0.04% to 9,378.31 points.
The international indices have evolved in dispersed order. The FTSE CSE Morocco 15 fell 0.02% to 10,513.02 points while the FTSE Morocco All-Liquid gained 0.05% to 9,859.75 points.
The benchmark Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) “Casablanca ESG 10”, for its part, stood at 878.56 points (+ 0.02%).
The odds saw 12 of its sector indices gain ground, compared to just 8 losers, while 4 sectors showed no trend.
Thus, the “Beverages” index (+ 2.09%) posted the best sector performance, followed by “Pharmaceuticals” (+ 1.81%), driven by the good performance of Sothema (+ 1.98%) .
Offsetting the losses of Fenie Brossette (-3.82) by the gains of Label Vie (+ 1.29%) and Auto Hall (+ 2.29%), the distributors sector came in third, grabbing 1.34%. Also on the rise, the “Mines” index advanced 1.26%, boosted by Manegem (+ 1.79%), SMI (+ 1.02%) and Minière Touissit (+ 0.59%). Likewise, that of “Building and construction materials” increased by 1.16% and “Electricity” by 0.42%. At the bottom of the ranking are the “Forestry and Paper” (-3.94%), “Engineering and Industrial Equipment” (-1.59%) and “Telecommunications” (-0.72%) sector indices.
The “Banks” sector lost 0.30%, weakened by the cuts in Attijariwafa Bank (-0.47%), BMCI (-0.42%), BCP (-0.36%) and CIH (-0 , 19%). Bank Of Africa, on the other hand, gained 0.22% while CDM remained unchanged. The overall volume of securities exchanges amounted to 159.32 million dirhams (MDH), mainly carried out on the central market. By values, Afriquia Gaz drained 59.32 MDH, Microdata 46.24 MDH, BMCI 17.62 MDH and Itissalat Al-Maghrib 11.71 MDH. The market capitalization stood at 597.93 billion dirhams (MMDH).
The largest increases were made by Ib Maroc.com (+ 3.99% at 31.52 DH), Involys (+ 3.11% at 111.15 DH), Res Dar Saada (+ 2.65% at 25 , DH 99), Alliances (+ 2.60% to DH 32.32) and Société des Boissons du Maroc (+ 2.59% to DH 2.375).
The largest decreases were recorded by Stroc Industrie (-3.95% to 17.28 DH), Med Paper (-3.94% to 13.16 DH), Fenie Brossette (-3.82% to 46.10 DH), Douja Prom Addoha (-2.01% to 6.33 DH) and AGMA (-1.92% to 4.041 DH).
