Hamid Bentahar officially presented his candidacy for the post of President of the National Confederation of Tourism (CNT), accompanied by Hicham Mhammedi Alaoui for the post of Vice-President.

“This pair expects to embody the future of the profession through all these trades”, one indicates in a press release, noting that the elections for the presidency of the CNT will take place on July 17, 2021.

Hamid Bentahar is a well-known operator recognized by his peers. With more than thirty years of experience in the travel and hospitality industry, he now perfectly wears his double hat as president of the Regional Tourism Council of Marrakech, which he has chaired since 2008 and as CEO of the group. For his part, Hicham Mhammedi Alaoui is the co-founder of “Experience Morocco”, a premium travel agency whose key words are customer experience and creativity. A graduate of Harvard Business School, Princeton University and Sciences Po Paris, he embodies this new youth who is growing and investing in the sector with strong skills and values.

The ambition of Hamid Bentahar and Hicham Mhammedi Alaoui is to support the sector in this crucial period that the tourism sector is going through and to put in place all the necessary tools to represent and defend the profession so that everyone can initiate relaunch and resume a viable and sustainable activity.

The priority of the pair is to defend the interests of operators and contribute to resilience, restore the competitiveness of the sector and ensure in-depth transformation.

The objective, in the long term, being to federate the largest number of tourism operators and to make the sector a lever for development and growth by providing concrete solutions to the challenges of the country.

“Together, we will be stronger to defend our interests and our companies, to shine the splendor of our country and our regions,” said Hamid Bentahar, quoted in the press release. “With determination, we must create momentum, bring together and mobilize all the communities of players in our industry for a sustainable and daring recovery. a diversified and competitive industry, supported by a fabric of creative and resilient companies, ”he continued. Long-time associative activist, Hamid Bentahar is committed to defending the sector in all its components and bringing the union and inclusion of the profession, adds the press release, noting that by choosing a young and dynamic pair, he also hopes to breathe new life into the associative milieu of the profession.
