The head of Algerian foreign intelligence and his main collaborator were dismissed in a deafening silence by the Algerian regime, according to a dissident Algerian media. Both men face lengthy prison sentences.
Major General Noureddine Mekri, alias “Mahfoud”, who is one of the old Algerian generals, was dismissed after a months-long investigation behind his back, reported the dissident Algerian news site, Algérie Part. .
The general and his right-hand man, Colonel Hocine Hamid, alias Hocine Boulahya, were both thanked for “serious facts”, says Algérie Part, citing several concordant sources.
