Here are four key points of the weekly indicators of Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM) for the period from 04 to 11 August 2021:
1- The dirham appreciated by 0.46% against the euro and depreciated by 0.76% against the US dollar.
2- As of August 06, the outstanding official reserve assets of BAM stood at 300.6 billion dirhams (billion dirhams), down slightly from one week to the next by 0.1% and up 3.4% year-on-year.
3- The overall outstanding amount of BAM interventions stands at MAD 97.3 billion, of which MAD 40 billion in the form of 7-day advances on call for tenders, MAD 29.8 billion in the form of repurchase transactions and 27.5 billion MMDH within the framework of the financing support programs of the TPME.
4- On the interbank market, the average daily volume of trade stood at 2.7 billion dirhams and the interbank rate during this period was 1.50% on average.
