The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes’ to hit Moroccan cinemas on Nov 15

The latest establishment of The Hunger Games movie, “The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes” is hitting Moroccan cinemas on November 15, with programed screenings in various cinemas in Rabat, Casablanca, Marrakech, Tangier, Fez, Meknes, and El Jadida.

Distributed by Marrakech Spectales, this prequel is directed by Francis Lawrence, who made the last three films in the Hunger Games franchise. In 4 feature films, the famous saga has grossed nearly 3 billion dollars at the international box office.

The film is a dystopian action-adventure novel written by American author, Suzanne Collins. It is a prequel to the original The Hunger Games trilogy, set 64 years before the events of the first novel.

The film stars a plethora of Bollywood stars, such as Viola Davis, Peter Dinklage, Hunter Schafer, and Rachel Zigler.

It tells the story of Coriolanus Snow, years before he would become the tyrannical President of Panem. Though the Snow family has fallen on hard times, Coriolanus sees a chance for a change in his fortunes when he is chosen to be a mentor for the 10th Hunger Games only to have his elation dashed when he is assigned to mentor a girl tribute named Lucy Gray Baird from the impoverished District 12.
