The Attijariwafa bank Foundation begins its cultural season with the traditional exhibition of its Académie des Arts educational program.
This exhibition under the theme “Art, source of perpetual reinvention” entirely produced by sponsored young students, is a strong signal from the Foundation to go out to meet the public and renew contact with the actors of art in Morocco. .
Organized at the Actua art space at the headquarters of Attijariwafa bank from December 1, 2021 to January 30, 2022, the exhibition highlights the artistic productions of students of the Academy of Arts class registered between 2019-2021.
An exceptional promotion that coincided with the start of the pandemic in 2020 and with which the Attijariwafa bank Foundation anticipated the end of face-to-face workshops by converting the program to digital.
The Foundation worked hand in hand with the students to enable them to appropriate art as a means of reinventing themselves and thinking about the world of today and tomorrow.
The particularity of this promotion also comes from the diversity of the subjects covered and the educational tools.
recommended, since the Attijariwafa bank Foundation and the faculty in charge of the Academy of Arts
encouraged experimentation; the students were led to do research to better understand the subject
of Covid-19, to create both artistic and educational works guided by awareness, positivity,
the aspiration for a better future.
The promotion also stood out for its ability to meet the artistic challenge “Ibda3mendarek”
(Created from home) imagined by the Foundation in 2021, a first in the history of the Academy of Arts.
“Ibda3mendarek” allowed students to express themselves on their experiences in the face of Covid-19, promoting competitiveness and the spirit of surpassing oneself, giving rise to 200 artistic productions between painting, writing and multimedia. 12 winners have been awarded and will see their creations hung in the exhibition.
On the way to the 6th promotion
Being a laureate of the Academy of Arts and being part of the 6th promotion has become a reality for 150 students
aged between 12 and 17 years from public schools in Casablanca and recruited over a period of 2 years with the
effective contribution of the Regional Academy of Education and Training (AREF) of the Casablanca-Settat region.
The 6th promotion 2021-2023 will work on the theme of artistic heritage in Morocco
in order to mark a return to basics while continuing to challenge the creativity of learners and help
to move beyond the academic framework of artistic creation. The idea is to move towards more
contemporary (example Street-art) questioning art, its definition and its role in a society
in perpetual change.
Perpetuated since 2009, the Academy of Arts is created with the help of AREF. It confirms the commitment of
the Attijariwafa bank Foundation for young people thirsty for learning and artistic exploration.
