The President of the Arab Parliament, Adel ben Abderrahman Al-Assoumi, praised, Sunday in Cairo, the constant efforts made by King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, for the defense of the Palestinian cause.
During talks with Morocco’s Ambassador to Egypt, Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, Ahmed Tazi, Al-Assoumi expressed his esteem and gratitude for the Sovereign’s continued support for the resistance of the Palestinian people and for the efforts of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency under the Al-Quds Committee to preserve the identity and legal status of the city and to support the resistance of its inhabitants.
This meeting was also marked by discussions on the consolidation of cooperation relations between the Arab Parliament and the Moroccan Parliament, by activating the role of parliamentary diplomacy in order to strengthen the Arab voice and its unity to face the various challenges, led by the Palestinian cause.
Al-Assoumi stressed, in this regard, that Morocco has always supported joint Arab action, being an active member of the Arab Parliament and contributing to the achievement of its objectives and programs.
