The mayor of Casablanca, Nabila Rmili, sent his instructions, as head of the administrative police to fight against the phenomenon of the spread of the occupation of the public domain.
Nabila Rmili called on the administrative police to respond quickly to citizens’ complaints about the occupation of public property, including the fact that some people are erecting barricades in front of their homes to prevent cars from parking.
The mayor stressed the need to remove the barricades and the obstacles that some citizens put in front of their homes, stressing “The importance of facing this attack, which affects the right of the oval citizen in the street”.
At a time when the administrative police of Casablanca have embarked on this campaign, the citizens express the wish that it is not an ephemeral campaign of media campaign, at the end of which the occupants of the domain public would immediately regain their bad habits.
Despite this campaign initiated by the town hall of the economic capital of the Kingdom, the citizens ask the council to organize other campaigns to protect the public domain from occupation by certain cafes and shops that are on the sidewalk.
Activists on social networks called on the town hall and local authorities to act to stop the phenomenon in the various districts of Casablanca, instead of limiting it to parking lots.
The authorities of the wilaya of the Casablanca-Settat region gave their instructions to launch campaigns against the phenomenon of the occupation of the public domain, but these campaigns quickly stopped.
The economic capital is known for many citizens who erect barriers near their homes, to prevent others from parking in front of them.
