After the success of the first edition of the Night of Museums and Cultural Spaces (NMEC), the National Museums Foundation, the Majorelle Garden Foundation and the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication are organizing, on the 22nd , the second edition of this event to celebrate the beginning of summer in light and culture.
For this 2nd NMEC, more than 80 museums, galleries and cultural spaces will open their doors free of charge, from 6 p.m. to midnight, in 19 cities of the Kingdom, namely Oujda, Tetouan, Tangier, Assilah, Fez, Meknes, Rabat, Kénitra , Casablanca, Safi, Azilal, Marrakech, Essaouira, Agadir, Assa, Es-Semara, Laâyoune, Dakhla and Aousserd.
A joint statement from the organizers notes that the NMEC offers a unique opportunity for visitors of all ages and backgrounds to travel through the exhibition halls, discover archaeological and ethnographic objects as well as artistic works.
According to the initiators of the NMEC, the evening was chosen to highlight this event within a summer atmosphere, where each step becomes a promise of escape, each look is an encounter with history, art and culture and each creation is an invitation to discovery and sharing.
June 22 thus becomes an unmissable event, embodying a true celebration of culture, it is underlined.
