The 1st Moharram of the new year of the Hegira 1444 will correspond to Saturday July 30, 2022, announced, Friday evening, the ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.
In a statement, the ministry confirmed the observation of the lunar crescent of the month of Moharram at sunset on Friday 29 Dou El Hijja 1443 (corresponding to July 29, 2022).
As a result, the 1st Moharram of the new year of the Hegira 1444 will correspond to Saturday July 30, 2022, according to the same source.
