The 1st detained student championship ends at Tifelt 2 prison

The 1st team sports championship for detained students in partnership between the General Delegation for Prison Administration and Reintegration (DGAPR) and Mohammed V University ended on Wednesday with a last football match. The championship was held throughout the month of Ramadan.

The last football match organized within the framework of this partnership between the prison administration and the Mohammed V University of Rabat, took place at the local prison of Tifelt 2. This tournament was held alongside the 2022 title college championship.

Organized in partnership between the General Delegation for Prison Administration and Reintegration (DGAPR) and Mohammed V University under the banner “Sports Wednesday: Together for integration through sports values”, this championship, which launched its first edition this year, intends to involve detained students in sports activities scheduled for the month of Ramadan, said Mr. Younes Awam of the DGAPR.

He had the participation of inmates from the local prison of Tiflet 1, the local prison of Tiflet 2, the local prison of Al Aarjat and the local prison of Roumani, he said in a statement to M24. , the continuous news channel of MAP, noting that this final was preceded by playoffs between the competing teams, played every Wednesday of this sacred month.

In a similar statement, Ismail Al-Achqari Bakdouri, a professor at Mohammed V University in Rabat, affirmed that the University coordinates with the DGAPR on different activities targeting detained students, adding that this is the second edition. of the program for the 2021-2022 academic year.

This program includes many activities, including this sports competition scheduled for this year, the aim being to contribute to the reintegration of detained students into society and to make them benefit from the various activities initiated by the University, he said.

This championship is part of a partnership agreement between the local prison of Tiflet 2 and the Mohammed V University of Rabat, and the second edition of the program of this university establishment for the benefit of detained students.

The final of this tournament was won by the Al-Okhoua team, which beat the Al-Qowa team on penalties (3-1), after regulation time and extra time ended in a draw (1 -1). Third place went to the Al-Amal team who outclassed the Al-Majd team by 3-1.
