The National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM) and Sound Energy have signed an agreement for the interconnection of the future gas pipeline linking Tendrara to the Maghreb-Europe gas pipeline (GME).
ONHYM specifies that under the terms of this agreement, which is part of the development of the Tendrara field, the Office, owner and operator of the Maghreb-Europe gas pipeline, will allow the connection of the Tendrara production concession to the GME , via a new gas pipeline which will be built over 120 km.
As a reminder, a memorandum of understanding relating to the sale of natural gas from the Tendrara concession was signed in October 2019 between the National Office for Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE) and the company Sound Energy Morocco East Limited.
This memorandum of understanding, which relates to the main conditions of the contract for the sale of natural gas by Sound Energy to ONEE to supply its power plants, came to crown a series of negotiations between the various partners.
