Switzerland “welcomes the political, economic and social reforms accomplished by the Kingdom of Morocco, in the various fields, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI”, we read in the joint declaration made public at the end of the visit to Bern of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans living abroad, Nasser Bourita.
The Declaration also underlines “the positive role, the dynamic attitude and the constructive contribution of Morocco to the settlement of regional and continental questions”.
It also highlights “the growing role of the Swiss Confederation on the international scene, its significant contribution to strengthening public international law and human rights, peace and stability in the world, on the basis of the principles of equality, dialogue, mutual respect, cooperation with other States and International Organizations ”.
The declaration recalls that the two countries are celebrating this year the hundredth anniversary of the Swiss diplomatic presence in Morocco which began in 1921, while magnifying the long friendship between the Swiss Confederation and the Kingdom of Morocco, based on mutual respect and dialogue. .
