Spanish-Moroccan football player Ilias Akhomach has chosen to represent Morocco on the international stage.
Akhomach responded to the Olympic team coach’s invitation to don the Moroccan jersey for the upcoming friendlies against Denmark and the United States.
“He sent us a letter, and we accepted it. He wants to play for Morocco,” Spain’s Santiago Denia Sanchez, coach of the U21 team, was quoted by Marca as saying.
