Spain’s government will ask the sports court to suspend Luis Rubiales from his duties while it conducts an investigation into the scandal-hit football chief’s actions at the Women’s World Cup final, a minister said Friday.
“The National Sports Council is going to ask the court to temporarily suspend Luis Rubiales from his duties until the case against him has been definitively resolved,” Sports Minister Miquel Iceta told a news conference.
