The winter Mercato, which is in its last hours, could see many surprises arise. Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat could be one. On FC Barcelona’s radar, the Atlas Lion could be its surprise recruit, according to the Spanish sports daily “Marca”.
“Sofyan Amrabat could be the big surprise of the winter transfer window. The Moroccan player is highly appreciated by FC Barcelona and the Catalan club is trying to sign the player from Fiorentina”, writes the specialized publication in this sense.
And to specify that the Catalan leaders will ask the Italian club for a loan with an option to buy. “The player, who was one of the sensations of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, could join the Catalan club in the next few hours,” says Marca.
The Spanish daily is full of praise for the youngest of the Amrabet brothers, noting that “he is one of the best midfielders of the moment. He was included in the ideal XI for the 2022 World Cup and many clubs have followed him since last December, including Liverpool and Atlético de Madrid”.
