Moroccan international and Manchester United player, Sofyan Amrabat, has been notably absent from the national team’s trip to Abidjan for a friendly match against Cote d’Ivoire next Saturday.
Amrabat didn’t join the squad upon their arrival in Abidjan, nor did he participate in the team’s training sessions at the camp in Salé, Morocco.
The reasons for Amrabat’s absence from the national team’s preparations remain unclear, even though he was called up by national coach Walid Regragui for the Cote d’Ivoire and Liberia matches.
Regragui is expected to shed light on Amrabat’s absence before the upcoming matches during a press conference scheduled for Friday.
Previously, the midfielder missed the Atlas Lions’ last game due to injury and was replaced by Wydad player, Yahya Jabrane, ahead of the game against Burkina Faso in France last month.
