Six individuals were arrested on Saturday afternoon by the prefectural service of the judicial police of Oujda, on the basis of precise information provided by the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), for alleged membership of a network criminal active in falsifying and trafficking tests and medical certificates relating to covid-19.
The research and investigations carried out revealed that the suspects, including two internal doctors and an individual with a criminal record, were active within the framework of an organized network operating in the falsification and delivery of negative tests without the persons concerned being submitted to the screening examination for Covid-19, in return for sums of money shared between the two main defendants and their accomplices who played the role of intermediaries in the commission of these criminal acts, indicates a press release from the Directorate General of National Security (DGSN).
It also specifies that the searches carried out at the homes of the suspects in the city of Oujda led to the seizure of dozens of false covid-19 test certificates, including unspecified forms and others containing false negative results, IT equipment and digital media, in addition to sums of money in national currency exceeding 875,000 dirhams and in euros.
An ink pad bearing the title of doctor in a university hospital, as well as five bladed weapons, a vehicle and four suspicious number plates, were also seized.
All the suspects were subjected to the judicial investigation carried out under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, in order to identify all the people involved in this criminal network, to determine its ramifications and possible links and to arrest all the people participating in the criminal network. the commission of these criminal acts prejudicial to the health security of all citizens.
