The security operations carried out by the security services of the Province of Rabat on the sidelines of the football match which took place on Thursday, December 29, between the FAR and Wydad Casablanca teams, resulted in the arrest of 37 people, suspected of their participation in sports riots, possession of bladed weapons and stone throwing accompanied by insults and material damage to public property.
These security interventions took place the day after the match, which saw some riots, recording material damage to two vehicles belonging to the National Security, as well as the injury of six members of the police with minor injuries, following from which they received the necessary treatment in hospital.
The suspects have been the subject of a judicial investigation carried out under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, in order to determine all the criminal acts attributed to them, while the search procedures continue to identify the other persons involved in the affair.
