Sergio Ramos’ Parisian adventure comes to an end

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) announced on Friday evening the departure of its Spanish defender, Sergio Ramos, on the eve of the last day of Ligue 1.

“Paris Saint-Germain warmly greets Sergio Ramos, who is preparing to leave the capital after two seasons defending the colors of the Club”, wrote the Parisian club in a press release.

The announcement of his departure comes the day after the confirmation by the PSG coach of the end of the Parisian adventure of the Argentine star, Lionel Messi, who will play his last match with the capital club this Saturday at the Parc des princes

“Paris Saint-Germain is delighted to have seen Sergio Ramos defend his colors with such determination,” said the same source.

“Wearing the Red and Blue jersey for the past two years has been a wonderful experience. I had an unforgettable adventure in Paris and I want to thank you all for your support and love,” said the Spaniard, quoted in the press release.

“We would like to express our immense gratitude to Sergio Ramos for the two years he spent with us,” reacted Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, president of Paris Saint-Germain.

Sergio’s leadership, team spirit and professionalism, combined with his experience at the highest level, make him a true footballing legend and it was an honor to have him in Paris. Everyone at the club wishes him the best, he added.
