Senegal ensured its qualification for the round of 16 of the African Cup of Nations (CAN) football, after its draw (0-0) against Malawi, Tuesday at the Kouekong stadium in Bafoussam, during the 3rd and last day of group B.
With this draw, Senegal brings its assets to 5 points and finishes at the top of this group after a victory against Zimbabwe (1-0) and a draw against Guinea (0-0).
The other direct ticket at stake in this group was won by Guinea (2nd / 4 pts) which lost (1-2) to everyone’s surprise against Zimbabwe, already eliminated.
Malawi (3rd/4 pts) is left behind by the national Syli thanks to the particular difference. He could, however, reach the next round among the best third.
