Zakaria Aboukhlal’s Toulouse FC won the Coupe de France final on Saturday, winning 5-1 against Nantes, thanks, among other things, to a goal from the Moroccan international.
The Atlas Lion scored the last goal of the match in the 79th minute with a hard shot under the crossbar of Alban Lafont.
The Toulousains led 4-1 at half-time after doubles from Logan Costa (4th, 10th) and Thijs Dallinga (23rd, 31st). Nantes reduced the mark on penalty, by Ludovic Blas (75th) then Aboukhlal closed the mark.
The Moroccan attacking midfielder has scored in each of his five Coupe de France matches.
The Violets were supported by around 22,000 fans in fusion, 66 years after the only title in the history of the city, the Coupe de France 1957.
