The Saudi Council of Ministers on Tuesday approved a memorandum of cooperation between Archives of Morocco and the King Abdelaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah), during a session chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Places of Islam. , King Salman bin Abdelaziz.
Archives du Maroc and Darah had signed this memorandum of cooperation last September in Rabat, in the light of the existing scientific links between the two institutions and with a view to implementing their desire to develop bilateral cooperation relations in their fields of work. respective.
Among the components included in the memorandum is the promotion of studies and research, researchers’ access to historical information, the exchange of scientific publications and the sharing of measures governing the work of the two institutions.
It is also a question of promoting the organization of conferences and joint exhibitions, the exchange of experiences in terms of safeguarding, restoration and technicality in their field of intervention, in addition to training sessions for the benefit of their staff. .
This text was signed during the visit of a high-level Saudi delegation to the headquarters of the “Archives of Morocco” in Rabat. It was initialed by the director of the “Archives of Morocco”, Jamaâ Baida and the Secretary General of Darah in Riyadh, Fahd ben Abdallah Samari.
It should be noted that the King Abdelaziz Foundation for Research and Archives, was created in 1972 to, in particular, make known the history of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its geography, its literature and its town planning.
