Salima Amira new Managing Director of Microsoft Morocco

Microsoft Morocco has a new Managing Director, in the person of Salima Amira, entrusted with the mission of conceptualizing strategies, allocating the necessary resources, overseeing the commitments and priorities of Microsoft in Morocco.

A statement from Microsoft said the new CEO will also be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships within regional sales and marketing departments, as well as through Microsoft subsidiaries.

With 17 years of experience as a leader in a complex and competitive business environment, Salima is well qualified for success in her new mission at Microsoft, the group said, adding that thanks to her analytical mind and technical background, Salima had several responsibilities at “IBM” where she spent her last two years as Territorial Director for Morocco. Eight years previously, Salima was in charge of sales of services and industrial solutions, and also spent six years in retail and wholesale at “Telco” while managing one of the latter’s subsidiaries.

In her new role, Salima realizes her goal of business development, customer success and strengthening partnerships, working closely with customers and partners to understand their specific needs for the market and for the sector, the statement said, noting that ‘she is also passionate about recruiting new talents and developing them, linking their work to great impact on the client.

A strong supporter of promoting a culture of inclusion, transparency and trust, Salima remains guided by these principles, which aim to successfully mentor her team, instilling a resilient and growth-oriented mindset, to implement the best strategies for scalable and innovative results that matter to customers and the ecosystem as a whole.
