The Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour, went to Fez and Sefrou for visits to industrial projects and units. It has also signed 10 partnership agreements to develop the industry sector in Fez-Meknes.
Several visits are on the agenda of field visits by the Minister of Industry to Fez, accompanied by a delegation of senior officials from the Fez-Meknes region.
Indeed, Ryad Mezzour is accompanied by the wali of the Fez-Meknes Region, governor of the prefecture of Fez, Saïd Zniber and the president of the Council of the Fez-Meknes region, Abdelouahed El Ansari.
He thus visited the Maroc Modis-Triumph International company, which specializes in the manufacture of women’s and men’s lingerie. But also, in Alstom-Morocco, a factory specializing in railway cabling and on-board transformers entirely dedicated to export, which is currently working on more than 20 international railway projects.
Covering an area of 3.4 ha, the Alstom-Fez site currently employs some 400 people and aims to create 350 other direct jobs by 2023.
Mr. Mezzour also visited the site of the International Exhibition Center of Fez to monitor the progress of construction work. The first two tranches relating to the development of the business center and the exhibition hall have reached more than 50% of completion, and the 3rd tranche which relates to the road network and various networks has reached 90%, and the electricity and public lighting on its side has been completed.
