Royal Air Maroc, first African company certified Cargo iQ

Royal Air Maroc recently obtained Cargo iQ certification in accordance with Cargo iQ quality management standards for the air cargo transport industry. With this distinction, the Compagnie Nationale joins the world’s major air carriers, major players in the supply chain (including freight forwarders) and preeminent IT solution providers at the global level. Royal Air Maroc thus becomes the first African company to obtain this prestigious certification.

Founded in 1997 by major airlines and freight forwarders within the IATA (International Air Transport Association), the Cargo iQ interest group aims to create and implement quality standards for the cargo industry. global freight and supply chain. The group now has more than 60 members from across the supply chain including airlines, freight forwarders, ground handling agents, IT solution providers, trucking services and, more recently , SME freight forwarders.
In addition to this prestigious certification, which testifies to the tangible progress made by the National Company in terms of air freight, Royal Air Maroc has also won two additional stars in the categories “Corporate Social Responsibility” and “Spirit of Innovation”. as part of this certification.

Valid for a period of 3 years following a rigorous audit conducted by the SGS certification body, this renewable certification follows Royal Air Maroc’s membership of the Cargo iQ community in 2019. This audit aims to verification of the compliance of members’ operations based on a master operational plan (MOP) which is essentially focused on standardizing processes and improving transparency by interfacing the exchange of data relating to shipments between the parties stakeholders for accurate planning and proactive monitoring.
