Will Romain Saiss join La Liga? According to Mundo Deportivo, the Moroccan international is a serious candidate to strengthen the defensive hinge this summer.
Romain Saiss is offered to FC Barcelona, with the advantage of his free player status next June, recalls Mundo Deportivo.
The Spanish newspaper added that the possibility of the departure of the duo, Samuel Umtiti and Clement Lenglet, makes Saiss an option to replace them, while Betis are also interested in the captain of the Moroccan national team.
The same source listed Saiss’ abilities considering him to have plenty of experience in the English Premier League, noting that he is good at getting the ball out in addition to his appropriate size as a defender.
Saiss has opened the door to leaving this summer and would consider all of his options. The Moroccan is tracked by Besiktas, Villarreal, Wolfsburg, Marseille, Lyon, Rennes and Strasbourg
The 32-year-old, whose current market value is €9m, has scored 3 goals in 32 games for the English side this season.
As a reminder, Saiss joined the West Midlands team in 2016 from Angers. After six years at the British club, the performances of the Moroccan player have been noticed, being a real pillar of the defense of Wolves.
Moreover, this season has been no different, with the Moroccan fitting perfectly into Bruno Lage’s scheme. Under the Portuguese coach, the Black Country side have been one of the strongest defenses in the Premier League.
