Between April and June, the interministerial delegation for human rights organises, regional consultation meetings around the international convention on the protection of the rights of migrant workers.
These meetings are part of the preparation of the second periodic report on the implementation of the international convention on the protection of the rights of migrant workers and members of their families, which will be submitted to the competent UN committee in October 2022.
They will be organized in the Oriental region in Oujda, on Wednesday April 6, 2022, in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region in Tangier, on Wednesday April 20, 2022, and in the Souss-Massa region in the city of ‘Agadir, Wednesday June 8, 2022, specifies the delegation in a press release.
These consultation meetings, said the same source, will see the participation of representatives of government departments, national institutions, civil society, universities and the media. They will be dedicated to the presentation and discussion of the preliminary draft of the aforementioned second periodic report, in accordance with the approach adopted by the interministerial delegation in the preparation of national reports relating to conventional practice.
