The exchange office reported that travel revenues amounted to 71.36 billion dirhams for the first eight months of 2023, an increase of 32.5 percent compared to the same period last year.
The office explained in its latest bulletin on the monthly indicators of foreign exchanges that these revenues exceeded the level recorded at the end of August 2019 (about 52.69 billion dirhams).
Travel expenses, at the end of last August, amounted to about 16.52 billion dirhams.
The travel surplus stabilized at 54.84 billion dirhams, compared to the excess of 42.02 million dirhams recorded at the end of August 2022.
