The national company of Royal Air Maroc (RAM) announced on Friday that flights between Casablanca and Montreal will resume from October 29. Passengers will now be able to take the national airline’s daily direct flights operated by Type B 787 Dreamliner planes, RAM said in a statement.
The resumption of this regular line will come two months after its suspension on August 29, said the same source, specifying that travelers must, however, submit to the new conditions imposed by the Canadian authorities. These travelers are invited to consult the website of the Canadian Department of Transport and the “ArriveCAN” platform to obtain information on the details of the regulatory and health conditions and procedures allowing access to Canadian territory.
The link between Casablanca and Montreal is a strategic route for the national company given the strong Moroccan community residing in Canada, but also the fact that Casablanca constitutes an important hub for a large part of the African community moving to the rest of the continent. . The resumption of flights between the two destinations was therefore a highly anticipated event that will meet strong demand, the press release concludes.
