Spokesman for the Israeli Foreign Ministry Lior Ben Dor said “Tel Aviv did not close its Israeli liaison office in Rabat, but rather took measures related to temporary circumstances.”
Ben Dor added in a statement to MoroccoLatestNews that “Israel assures all Moroccans that relations between Tel Aviv and Rabat are built on strong and solid foundations, and will not allow any party to harm them.”
MoroccoLatestNews had learned that David Govrin, director of the Israeli liaison office in Rabat, left Morocco on Wednesday.
MoroccoLatestNews sources explained that all employees of the Israeli Liaison Office also left for Israel, after freezing all consular and diplomatic activities in the Kingdom.
