Real Madrid secures Kepa Arrizabalaga on loan to fill Courtois Void

Real Madrid has officially secured a deal with compatriot and international goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga, from Chelsea.

The signing comes as a one-season loan and was confirmed today.

This move is aimed at filling the void left by the injury to Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who is set to miss a significant portion of the ongoing season due to an unfortunate injury.

In an official press statement relayed by Agence France-Presse, Real Madrid and Chelsea have reached an agreement to have Kepa Arrizabalaga on loan until June 30, 2024.

Thibaut Courtois, aged 28, sustained an anterior cruciate ligament rupture in his left knee during a training session last Thursday. He is now scheduled for surgery in the upcoming days.
