Rachid Saihi has been appointed to the position of Managing Director of the Center Monétique Interbancaire (CMI), succeeding Ismaïl Bellali, as of July 6, in succession to Ismaïl Bellali.
A press release from the Center specifies in this regard that “the Board of Directors of the CMI, meeting on July 5, 2023, under the chairmanship of Mr. Hassan El Bedraoui, appointed Mr. Rachid Saihi to the position of General Manager of the CMI as of July 6, 2023. He succeeds Ismaïl Bellali who successfully accompanied the development of the CMI for more than 24 years”.
The Board of Directors wanted to thank Bellali for his great contribution and dedication throughout his career with Interbank and then CMI, adds the same source.
During all these years, the Center points out, the former DG was a pillar of the CMI and strongly contributed to its growth, thus playing a crucial role in the development of the electronic payment system in Morocco.
For his part, Saihi has to his credit a solid experience in strategic leadership positions. He has evolved for more than 30 years in the fields of innovative technologies by actively supporting the structural development of leading financial operators.
A graduate of the Mohammedia School of Engineers in Rabat and holder of an MBA from the University of Chicago, Saihi successively held several management positions within the multinational IBM as Consulting Director, IBM Morocco Services Director, Regional Sales Director IBM France and finally Director IBM Services Africa & Middle East.
For the past two years, he has held the position of Managing Director of an operator of electronic payment solutions in Morocco.
