Energy, Mines and Environment Minister Aziz Rabah said the Kingdom will exceed 52% of its energy mix in 2030.
Speaking on Tuesday in the chamber of advisers in the context of oral questions, Rebbah argued that this figure could be reached before 2026 and this despite the delay that occurred during an earlier period.
The 2021-2030 electricity system is based entirely on renewable energies and a reduced rate of gas, continued the minister, noting that a roadmap has been drawn up for hydrogen, a promising energy for Morocco which must welcome d ‘significant investments in this area.
He added that a roadmap for bioenergy, orientation towards industrialization and scientific research has also been drawn up.
According to Aziz Rebbah, the next decade will be that of renewable and clean energies, noting that the government is supporting this project through the adoption of laws and the implementation of projects and initiatives at different levels.
