The health offer has just been reinforced in the province of Khenifra with the commissioning, on Tuesday, of new health centers in the rural commune of El Kbab, and this, within the framework of the restructuring of the national health system and the deployment of the project for the generalization of social protection.
The commissioning ceremony of these new health structures took place in the presence of the Minister of Health, Khalid Ait Taleb, the governor of the province of Khenifra and several presidents of municipalities and local elected officials.
These are the level 2 rural health center with emergency unit, “Dar Al Oumouma” and a hemodialysis center.
In a statement to the press, the Minister of Health indicated that the commissioning of these new structures is part of the reform of the health sector and the restructuring of the national health system in with a view to supporting in the best possible way the project of generalization of social protection in accordance with royal guidelines.
These new structures come to reinforce the health offer at the level of the province of Khénifra and are likely to contribute to the development of the health system and to reduce the territorial disparities for the benefit of the inhabitants of the province of Khénifra, added Aït Taleb.
The Minister also underlined in this sense that the commissioning of these new entities will allow patients in the province to avoid the inconvenience of traveling to other hospital centers to receive care, which will undoubtedly contribute to improving the quality of health services offered to the inhabitants of this rural municipality.
The level 2 health center built in the commune of El Kbab, was built according to modern architectural standards on an area of more than 14,000 square meters with funding of 8.17 million dirhams (MDH).
Equipped with modern and very high quality equipment within the framework of a partnership agreement between the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, the INDH, the Beni Mellal-Khénifra region, the Khénifra provincial council and the commune El Kbab, this health center will benefit a population of 75,000 inhabitants of seven rural communes.
With a capacity of six equipped beds, “Dar Al Oumouma”, which was built in the center of El Kbab for the benefit of pregnant women from mountainous areas and remote villages, will provide health services for the benefit of mothers and babies on an area of 181 square meters. This structure was created with funding of 700,000 dirhams in partnership with the INDH and the municipality of El Kbab.
For its part, the hemodialysis center, with a capacity of 10 beds, was built on 342 square meters as part of the support program for people in precarious situations of the INDH with a view to bringing the services of health of the inhabitants of this locality.
This center required funding of nearly 6.65 MDH and was carried out within the framework of a partnership between the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, the INDH and the municipality of El Kbab.
