Protestors burn Israeli flag in front of Parliament

Civil, political, and human rights activists burned Friday the Israeli flag and chanted anti-normalization slogans in front of  Parliament.  Organized by the National Action Group for Palestine, the protest aimed to participate in the “No to Normalization” campaign. The slogan was clear: “For Jerusalem, against normalization.”

Abdelkader Alami, coordinator of the National Action Group for Palestine, expressed Morocco’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people. He highlighted their suffering, including aggression, genocide, displacement, and the unjust Gaza siege.

The protestors condemned recent violence against Palestinians and called for international responsibility.

The demonstration coincided with a visit by Secretary General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) to Rabat where he met Foreign minister Nasser Bourita.

Talks focused in particular on strengthening economic, political and tourism aspects, adding that meetings would be held between the ministers of the two countries.
