National coach Walid Regragui will hold a press conference next Saturday at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Salé, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) said on Monday.
This press conference will shed light on the friendly match of the Atlas Lions against Cape Verde, June 12 in Rabat and the official confrontation against South Africa, the 17 of the same month in Johannesburg, on behalf of the CAN Côte d’Ivoire-2023 qualifiers, specifies the federal body on its electronic portal.
According to the same source, the first fifteen minutes of the Atlas Lions training session, scheduled after the press briefing, will be open to the press.
The Moroccan selection had officially won its ticket for the final phase of the CAN (Côte d’Ivoire-2023) last March, after the draw (2-2) between South Africa and Liberia for the account of Group K. Morocco leads this pool with 6 units.
The national team had beaten South Africa (2-1) and Liberia (2-0), during the two previous days of this group which has only three selections. Walid Regragui’s men will play their last match counting for these qualifiers, on September 4, at home, against Liberia.
