Presentation on Thursday of a tripartite report on private sector development in Morocco

The African Development Bank (AfDB), the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will present, next Thursday, their first joint report entitled “Private sector development in Morocco: challenges and opportunities in times of the Covid-19 pandemic ”.

The report, which will be presented by videoconference as part of a conference-debate, constitutes “the first joint analysis by three international financial institutions”, indicates a joint press release from the ADB, the EIB and the EBRD.

This report takes up the challenges facing Moroccan companies in the current context of health, economic and social crisis. It also outlines the opportunities available to them.

Representatives of the private sector, international institutions and the media will attend the presentation of the publication, the same source said.

During this videoconference, the main conclusions of the report will be detailed. It will be the occasion to expose the possibilities generated by the development of the exportable offer from Morocco to the countries of the continent.

The event will also address the difficulties of access to financing for small and medium-sized enterprises in the Kingdom.

A high-level panel will bring together personalities from the private sector and representatives of the three development banks. Discussions will focus on recommendations for accelerated private sector development to support strong, resilient and inclusive growth.
