The Minister of the Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah Alaoui, and the Deputy Minister in charge of the Budget, Fouzi Lekjaa, presented, on Tuesday, the draft sector budget of the ministry for the year 2022, before the Finance Committee , planning and economic development of the House of Councilors.
“The presentation began with the tribute paid to officials of the ministry for their mobilization and involvement for the success of strategic projects, despite the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic,” said the ministry in a press release.
It was then, continues the same source, proceeded to the presentation of the achievements of the ministry for the year 2021, noting, in this context, that the budget execution situation, for the year 2021, was presented as well as the main achievements of the ministry by budgetary program, in particular the measures and actions aimed at mitigating the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the national economy, the pursuit of tax reform and that of public procurement, the support and incentives for investment, pricing and competition policy.
The progress of the administrative deconcentration of the ministry and the simplification of procedures as well as the implementation of the strategic action plan of the ministry for the period 2017-2021 was also presented.
The development of the human resources of the ministry and the strengthening of the gender approach were also highlighted, as well as the pursuit of the achievement of the three-year training plan of the department and the implementation of the action plan of the Foundation of social works of ministry staff, said the same source.
The efforts made by the ministry as part of its sustainable development strategy were also highlighted, which enabled the department to be awarded the Hassan II prize for the environment in its 13th edition, in the “Exemplary nature of the Administration in Sustainable Development” category.
The press release also notes that the second part of the presentation was devoted to the main measures of the sector budget proposal for the year 2022.
Thus, the actions scheduled for 2022 focus on the major projects and reforms launched by His Majesty the King, in particular those relating to the continued generalization of social coverage, the implementation of the recovery plan of the national economy, through the operationalization of the Mohammed VI Fund for investment and the pursuit of the dynamic of reform of public establishments and enterprises.
It also involves the creation of the National Agency in charge of the strategic management of State holdings and the continuation of support for entrepreneurship and the encouragement of investment.
In addition, the presentation highlighted the importance given to the continuation of the work of administrative deconcentration, to the implementation of the action plan of the Foundation of Social Works of the Ministry and to the enhancement and development of human resource capacities, while supporting the pivotal role of women in the ministry.
