A majority of French people anticipate a year 2022 identical to the one which has just passed. 59% of them do not expect the situation to change in 2022, particularly in terms of health.
According to an Odoxa BackBone-Consulting study for the newspaper “Le Figaro”, published Thursday, 23% of French people even fear that the next few months will be worse, and only 17% of them think that the coming year will be better.
It also emerges from the conclusions of the study, relayed by Le Figaro, that on the health register, 85% of French people do not foresee a year marked by the end of the pandemic, which reveals, notes the survey, a a certain “weariness” and “fatigue” in the face of the situation.
In this configuration, six out of ten French people consider that the country should experience a vast social movement in the coming months such as that of “yellow vests”, while 49% of them also foresee an economic crisis.
On the political and electoral front, a majority of French people (53%) predict a re-election of Emmanuel Macron, less than a third (28%) a victory for Valérie Pécresse, and barely more than two in ten (22%) that of one of the two representatives of the extreme right, Éric Zemmour or Marine Le Pen.
The President of the Republic will also, for 30% of French people, be the political personality of 2022, followed by the president of the Ile-de-France region (19%), according to this survey.
