The German capital, Berlin, is hosting the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA) 2023 from January 19 to 21. A meeting dedicated to the question of the transformation of food systems, and which should make it possible to respond to different crises, in particular those relating to the climate, health linked to Covid-9 and the world food crisis caused, among other things, by the war in Ukraine.
Around 2,000 international guests from the worlds of politics, business, science and civil society will work at GFFA 2023 to find out how this transformation and this transition to more sustainable food systems can be developed and succeeded.
In this major international event, Morocco is also present, in particular through a delegation led by the Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests, Mohamed Sadiki, who took part Thursday evening in meetings between ministers and investors at the Forum.
The minister is also expected to attend the 15th edition of the Berlin Agriculture Ministers’ Conference, which will take place on Saturday 21 January.
Note, on the other hand, the presence of a Moroccan project leader, at the head of a Swiss investment group, and who is among the six companies selected to present their vision and their innovative projects to the German Minister of farming.
This is the Rivoli Group AG, which is one of the rare guests of honor at GFFA 2023. In partnership with Collosale Fish, the Rivoli Group is therefore taking part in this major event where the company presents, as part of its stand , his innovative ideas in favor of the climate and food security in the world.
” This forum organized by the German government, sector of Agriculture and food security, deals with various topics around the world, including climate change and others. In this sense, the States present at the Forum have decided to meet to discuss technological and innovative solutions to preserve food security and change the situation for the better.“, says Mourad Malloul, President of the Rivoli Group.
As an investment group and guest of honor at GFFA 2023, explains Mourad Malloul, Rivoli Group supports various projects, in particular the Colossal Fish project, specializing in fish farming using highly innovative technologies.
” We give the small and medium-sized farmer the opportunity to develop his agriculture and his income in this field, and at the same time, we preserve the environment in a very effective way. I cite as an example our pilot project in Brazil. The Brazilian government has made 25 hectares of agricultural land available to us as part of the Colossal Fish pilot project“, he clarified.
Thus, the eagerly awaited 15th edition of the Conference of Ministers of Agriculture in Berlin, will be an opportunity for participants to address the challenges to be met to ensure food security in the world, crisis-proof, and the appropriate means to preserve biological diversity and improve the collaboration essential to the establishment of sustainable global food systems.
