This certification is the result of an independent assessment by the Top Employer Institute, which also recognized Philip Morris International (PMI) as one of the world’s best employers for the sixth consecutive year, said a PMI press release. .

“The recognition of Philip Morris Morocco as the best employer in the country for the 6th consecutive year is a strong sign confirming the quality of the working environment and our daily commitment to the well-being of our human capital”, declared the Managing Director of Philip Morris Morocco, Jalal Ibrahimi.

“We continue to aim for excellence and we constantly challenge ourselves in order to offer a unique experience to our employees. PMI’s vision is to create a smoke-free future, fueled by the energy and passion of our people, to bring about positive change for adult smokers who do not wish to quit”, he explained.

PMI: For a smoke-free future

PMI has begun a profound transformation aimed at creating a smoke-free future which in the long term tends to replace cigarettes with smoke-free products being a better alternative for adults who would otherwise continue to smoke from society, business , shareholders and stakeholders. PMI is an international group operating in the tobacco industry, engaged in the manufacture and sale of cigarettes, as well as smokeless products, electronic devices and related accessories, and other products containing nicotine on markets outside the United States.

In addition, PMI ships versions of its IQOS Platform 1 device and consumables to Altria Group, Inc. for sale under license in the United States, where these products have received marketing authorizations from the Food and Drug Administration. Administration (FDA) of the United States, as part of the tobacco product marketing authorization application (PMTA) procedure. The FDA has also cleared a version of IQOS and its consumables for marketing as a Modified Risk Tobacco Product (MRTP), believing that an exposure modification order for these products is appropriate to promote the public health.

PMI is building a future on a new class of smoke-free products that, while not without risk, are a much better choice than continuing to smoke. Through multidisciplinary capabilities in product development, state-of-the-art facilities and scientific evidence, PMI aims to ensure that its smoke-free products meet adult consumer preferences and rigorous regulatory requirements.

And to conclude that PMI’s portfolio of smokeless products includes products that do not burn and vapor products containing nicotine. As of September 30, 2021, IQOS is available for sale in 70 markets in key cities or nationwide, and PMI estimates that approximately 14.9 million adults worldwide have already switched to IQOS and quit to smoke.
