A Moroccan space was inaugurated Thursday at the headquarters of the Parliament of Latin America and the Caribbean (Parlatino) in the Republic of Panama, which King Mohammed VI kindly baptized with his name “King Mohammed VI Library”.
During the inauguration ceremony, which took place in the presence of an audience of political and diplomatic personalities, the flag of Morocco was raised in front of the headquarters of the Parlatino, to the rhythm of the national anthem.
Speaking on this occasion, the Speaker of the House of Councillors, Naama Mayara, currently visiting Panama, at the head of a Council delegation, indicated that the “King Mohammed VI Library” is a symbol that embodies the wealth and the diversity of Morocco’s cultural and spatial heritage within the largest parliamentary gathering in the region of Latin America and the Caribbean.
It is also a gateway to bring the peoples of Africa and this part of the world closer together, said Mayara, quoted in a press release from the second chamber of the Moroccan parliament, noting that this space will be an important interactive digital platform. documentation and direct liaison with the national parliaments of the 23 member states of the Parlatino.
Took part in this inauguration ceremony, in particular the ambassador of the Kingdom in Panama, Bouchra Boudchiche, the president of Parlatino, Jorge Pizarro Soto, the mayor of Panama City, Carla Garcia and the incoming president of Parlatino, Silvia del Rosario Giacoppo.
