The overall traffic of the ports managed by the National Ports Agency (ANP) stood at 67.14 million tonnes (MT) during the first nine months of this year, down 2.2% compared to the same period a year earlier.
This traffic is divided between import with 43.53 MT, up 5.2%, export with 20.32 MT (-19.2%), import cabotage with 2.17 MT (+54, 8%) and export cabotage with 1.11 MT (+53.7%), specifies the ANP in a note on traffic for the month of September.
By port, the distribution shows a domination of the ports of Jorf Lasfar and Casablanca with respective shares of 38.9% and 29.4%, followed by Safi (10.8%), Agadir (7.1% ), Mohammedia (6.4%), Nador (4.3%) and Laâyoune (2.3%).
With regard to the method of packaging, the ANP indicates that solid bulk made up 59.8% of overall traffic, ahead of liquid bulk (21.7%), containers (13.8%), miscellaneous (3 .6%) and Ro-Ro (1.1%).
