All regions of Morocco have this Tuesday, June 8, Covid-19 contaminations in the last 24 hours. The Casablanca-Settat region recorded the highest number of new infections with 273 contaminations.
MoroccoLatestNews’s watch and monitoring platform, www.moroccolatestnews.com, details that Morocco now has 522,003 confirmed cases, 9,187 deaths (i.e. a mortality rate of 1.76%), 509,660 healings, a total of 6,060,835 tests, and 3,156 cases under treatment, including 214 in serious condition (8 under intubation and 90 under non-invasive ventilation).
In addition, 9,341,497 people have received a first dose of the vaccine since the launch of the campaign while 6,457,177 are on the second dose, the health ministry said.
The most affected region is that of Casablanca-Settat which has 220 new cases (220 in Casablanca, 17 in Nouacer, 14 in Mohammedia, 7 in Settat, 5 in Médiouna, 4 in El Jadida, 3 in Berrechid, 2 in Benslimane, 1 to Sidi Bennour).
The second most affected region is Raba-Salé-Kénitra which records 69 new contaminations (23 in Kénitra, 20 in Skhirate-Téméra, 8 in Sidi Kacem, 7 in Rabat, 7 in Salé, 2 in Sidi Slimane, 2 Khémisset).
The Rabat region is followed by that of Marrakech-Safi which identifies 34 new cases (27 in Marrakech, 3 in El Kelaâ des Sraghna, 2 in Youssoufia, 1 in Chichaoua, 1 in Safi).
The fourth region most affected by new cases is that of Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, with 27 new infections distributed as follows: 16 in Tanger-Assilah, 4 in M’diq Fnideq, 3 in Al Hoceima, 2 in Tétouan, 2 in Larache).
Seventeen new cases were observed in the Oriental region including 5 in Oujda-Angad, 7 in Berkane, 2 in Nador, 2 in Taourirt, 1 in Jerada) while the region of Dakhla Oued Eddaha identified 13 contaminations all in the city of Oued Ed-Dahab.
For its part, the region of Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra has identified 11 contaminations including 7 in Laâyoune and 4 in Tarfaya, while the region of Fès-Meknes has 10 contaminations including 5 in Fez, 3 in Meknes and 2 in Taza.
The Sous-Massa region recorded 7 contaminations (3 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 2 in Tiznit, 1 in Inezgane-Ait-Melloul, 1 in Chtouka-Ait Baha), followed by the region of Daraâ-Tafilalet with 6 contaminations (4 in Errachidia, 1 in Tinghir, 1 in Ouarzazate) and finally the region of Guelmim-Oued Noun which is at the end of the list with 2 contaminations in the city of Tan-Tan.
