Global technology brand, OPPO, held its first-ever football tournament in Morocco and took the initiative to support local associations and non-profit organizations.

“Reno7 Charity Cup” is a tournament that saw the participation of 16 teams: media, artists, influencers and partners representing 8 associations, each association is represented by two teams playing for the title, through which the Moroccan subsidiary of the technological brand OPPO provides support. The choice of teams was made randomly during the draw event that took place at OPPO headquarters in Casablanca on Friday, June 3.

The tournament took place over two weekends, June 11-12 and 18-19, at the Oasis Cityfoot5 in Casablanca. Through this charity event, OPPO aims to increase its positive impact on society through sporting events and activities that engage partners and fans while sharing memorable moments with the community.

The tournament ended with the HBcom team (urban display partner) winning first place representing the Solidarité Féminine association based in Casablanca, second place was won by the Al Aoula team representing the Malak association for children with autism located in El Jadida, when in third place it was won by the 2M team which represents the Aider Sans Limite association based in Rabat. The three winning teams received OPPO prizes and all associations will benefit from a cash prize.

” We are delighted to announce our first Reno7 Charity Cup football tournament through which we recall our social commitment. It is also an opportunity to realize our vision of supporting the local community and our fans,” observed Abdelilah Akrim, marketing manager at OPPO Morocco.

And to add: We wanted to involve the media, artists and opinion leaders in this good cause and also share moments of pleasure and joy in a competitive setting while bringing a smile to the community of beneficiary associations. We hope that with the next editions, we will be able to engage more partners and support more associations and causes in Morocco”.

OPPO has chosen speed as the common denominator between football and the Reno7 smartphone, in particular to recall the functionality of the latter which is the 33W SUPERVOOCTM. The Reno7 has a 4,500 mAh battery and 33W SUPERVOOCTM which can be charged to 100% in 60 minutes, or offers 160 minutes of talk time for 5 minutes of charge.

OPPO always prioritizes CSR activities to serve the Moroccan community. This social action will not be the last of its kind that the brand will organize. With its partners, the Reno7 Charity cup is growing even more to convey a message of solidarity by helping associations fighting for different causes.

The Reno7 Charity Cup brings together the passion of football fans and the brand’s commitment to social responsibility in a jovial event for all to enjoy.
