ONMT pays tribute to professionals

On the occasion of World Tourism Day, the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT) is launching an unprecedented campaign to pay tribute to the women and men who work in all sectors of the sector and who are on the front line at the service of tourists. .

The coronavirus pandemic has hit both developed and developing economies. And it is the most vulnerable groups that have been hit the hardest of all.

The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) has therefore designated World Tourism Day 2021, celebrated on September 27 of each year, as a day dedicated to “tourism for inclusive growth “. The opportunity therefore to look beyond tourism statistics to promote the people behind the figures.

In this sense, the ONMT has decided to launch a multimedia campaign to pay tribute to all the women and men who work in the sector.

“For the ONMT, it was important to pay tribute to these women and men who are the guarantors of the customer experience and who therefore help to promote the Morocco tourism brand. This recognition is all the more important in this difficult period that tourism operators are going through at all levels of the value scale ”, said in a statement, Adel El Fakir, Director General of ONMT.

This corporate communication campaign is declined through a visual and a video capsule with the strong message “Let us pay tribute to the actors of tourism”.

In the video capsule, the Director General and the central directors of the ONMT address directly the actors of the sector to remind that they participate in the influence of the country by being the guardians of the legendary hospitality of Morocco and the guarantors of its know how.

Note that the tourism sector is experiencing the most serious crisis in its history. Since the proliferation of the pandemic, professionals no longer know where to turn.
