The OCP is strategically working to boost the growth of the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) by focusing on three main areas. First, it aims to empower by spreading awareness and providing guidance to partners to enhance their skills.
Second, the foundation is fostering a supportive environment for experimentation and nurturing the social innovation ecosystem in Africa and nationally through networking, mentorship, and resources.
Lastly, the foundation is dedicated to sharing valuable studies and data to encourage social innovation and create new operational models. This approach highlights the OCP’s commitment to making SSE a driving force for social innovation and sustainable development.
The OCP has played a substantial role in supporting the growth of the Social and Solidarity Economy, with a notable impact evidenced through key figures.
Over 800 Moroccan and African cooperatives have benefited from guidance and training, including young cooperative project leaders under the “Jil moutadamine” program.
Noteworthy programs like “Lala Al mouataaouina” have provided support to cooperatives, while newly established Moroccan cooperatives across 12 regions received essential training under the “Mourafaka” initiative.
The foundation has actively facilitated networking among cooperatives through “Rawabit,” creating commercial opportunities. The “Jil Moutadamine” award has empowered young cooperative projects, with 39 cooperatives recognized in the 2022 edition, including four from sub-Saharan countries.
The “Mourafaka” program aims to enhance capacities in areas such as management, production techniques, and strategic planning for 600 selected cooperatives across Morocco’s regions, fostering autonomy and financial support for impactful cooperative projects.
“Rawabit” has promoted visibility and collaboration among 55 cooperatives through networking, leading to 57 collaborative opportunities and the formation of a 40-expert pool for networking structuring.
These efforts collectively highlight OCP’s commitment to driving positive change through SSE while providing essential support to cooperatives at local and regional levels.
